Essen, 01 September 2024 – Maurice Reinhard has joined Gründerfonds Ruhr (Ruhrgründer Management GmbH) as an Investment Associate, adding to the team as it prepares for the launch of the second generation of Gründerfonds Ruhr.
Startup expertise from the Ruhr region
Maurice joins Gründerfonds Ruhr with over eight years of experience in the startup ecosystem of the Ruhr region. Before joining the team, he led the WERK X Startup Incubator, a local acceleration program, where he provided crucial support to high-potential startups. Maurice has also worked as a startup consultant at Bochum Wirtschaftsentwicklung, giving him unique insight into the challenges and opportunities facing local founders.
In addition to his consulting and leadership experience, Maurice used to be an entrepreneur himself, having founded startups in the fashion and e-commerce industry, offering a deep understanding of the startup journey from the founder’s perspective. He holds a Master’s in Management with a focus on entrepreneurship from Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
A new chapter for Gründerfonds Ruhr
Maurice joins Gründerfonds Ruhr at an exciting time, as the team prepares for the second generation of the fund, aiming for a first closing of at least €30M in 2024 and a final volume of €50M by 2025. Gründerfonds Ruhr continues to focus on early-stage, B2B startups with strong founder teams, investing primarily in the Ruhr region while supporting businesses with the potential to become market leaders on a national and global scale.
